Our board of directors exercises it's sole discretion over whether or not the foundation is willing to entertain a grant application by releasing invitations to selected charities.  The foundation does not entertain grant applications unless the charity first receives our board's invitation to apply.

WELCOME TO THE PHM FOUNDATION'S ABOUT PAGE!

Since 1993 a certain few companies based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area had been participating in corporate charity by making donations directly.  As the companies grew, they started to realize that giving money away was a task in itself.  So, in order to responsibly administrate their charity, and focus the charitable efforts in such a way as to have the greatest impact for good, The PHM Foundation was formed in 2006.  For this reason, we currently only accept charitable donations from these same companies.

As we have sought to determine the best method in administrating the grant cycle and focusing our efforts for impact, we have determined that we will first investigate charities which we know to accomplish objectives that are important to us.  Then, we will ask them to submit a grant application to us by sending them an invitation from our board.  And our grant cycle continues from there as our board evaluates the application against internal criteria.  For this reason, we do not entertain any unsolicited grant applications whatsoever.
